Why is my event "locked" or "closed"?

Events will remain closed until a few minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

For security reasons, Weve event sites are typically only unlocked just before an event's scheduled start time. Generally speaking this is approximately 5 minutes prior to your scheduled event time.

That being said, participants can still test their ability to get into the Weve platform prior to an event being unlocked! Participants are able to test their webcam, audio input, and audio output on a specific event site, even if that site is currently locked.

Is your event "Closed" when it should be "Open"? Most common reasons include:

  • There is confusion around which link to use - ensure you're using the correct link!
  • There is a miscommunication on the start time of the event. Please reach out to your Event Producer ASAP.
